WHAT'S NEW IN DOCTOR 6 VERSION 2.0
DOCTOR 6:
(1) Bad Code Check now fixes, and Cure Corrupted Data now reports,
certain kinds of data corruption previously neither reported nor fixed.
(2) A new option on the Operate menu fixes files with spurious
passwords, files that WordPerfect (and Doctor 6) report as being
password protected (encrypted) even though they are not.
SAVETEXT: No changes.
NEW PROGRAMS
The registered version of Doctor6 now includes TestSix, a command line
utility to perform the diagnostic functions of Doctor 6 at high speed
on multiple files in a single pass. It also includes Test6, a DLL
making available to the WordPerfect for Windows macro programmer (as
well as programmers using other languages) the diagnostic functions of
Doctor 6.

WHAT'S NEW IN DOCTOR 6 VERSION 1.2?
DOCTOR 6:
(1) An error in the handling of very large prefix data packets
containing text caused spurious diagnoses and caused certain operations
to crash. That error has been fixed.
(2) Certain data packets containing text are not processed by most
program functions. (Internal information concerning those packets is
most likely corrupted.) Bad Code Check and Cure Corrupted Data now
report the sequence numbers of the first ten such packets.
(3) The display in Erase Selected Data Packets how shows the sequence
number of data packets.
(4) Since processing of very large files may take a while, Doctor 6
now shows signs of activity during processing so you do not think it
has locked up.
SAVETEXT:
An error in the handling of very large prefix data packets
containing text caused the program to crash. That error has been
fixed. (Note that SAVETEXT has been given version number 1.2, even
those there was no separate version 1.1.)

WHAT'S NEW IN DOCTOR 6 VERSION 1.1?
(1) Now checks for broken codes in styles in the document
prefix in Bad Code Check and fixes them in Cure Corrupted Data. These
fixes are not reflected in the document body when the document is
retrieved. To make the fixes effective in the document body, you must
use the edit function to edit the style content in the style editor.
So that you do not need to examine your styles every time you use Cure
Corrupted Data, a message appears if there have been fixes in prefix
styles.
(2) Cure Corrupted Data now is less likely to overwrite valid data in
the process of fixing corrupted data. There is a tradeoff here. A
result of this change is that you are likely to find more garbage to
delete in the vicinity of **FIX** markers.

files created using WP6Win.
